Selected work:

Nino Theys is a Berlin-based Sound Artist and performer whose work challenges the conventional notions of performer and instrument, exploring the space in which the two merge, interact, and redefine one another.

His work develops various artistic practices, combining performance, installations, sound research and composition, resulting in immersive and singular performance setups where sound is seen, and visuals heard.

Chorals (sound installation)      Sound installation by Julian Charrière transforms a chalk cave into an ephemeral reef, where layers of recorded marine bioacoustics seem to emanate from the walls themselves.
Through on-site composition and acoustic measurements, the piece play with perception of space by extracting, exaggerating, and bending its resonant frequencies.
The cave is no longer just a container for sound, but its source.
Permanently installed at Maison Ruinart, Reims France.
12.1 audio format, 9’12” continuous loop
